SIX FURLONGS TO SUIT FANCY FLYER

Angel Of The South – returns to the all-weather

FANCY FLYER is one of three stable runners today when lining up for the 6f nursery at Lingfield (1.30pm) and looking as though he’ll appreciate the step up to six furlongs, looks solid each-way material at 5/1.

One of ten runners, the son of Archipenko shaped as though 5f was too sharp on recent outings, so the extra furlong should help and under Rob Hornby, who has ridden him in three of his five career starts, he should be there or thereabouts.

Also at Lingfield, expensive purchase, Bruyere makes her debut in a 12-runner 7f fillies’ novice.  The well-bred daughter of Exceed And Excel is drawn nicely in one and although she’ll undoubtedly come on for the run, she’s a big price at 25/1.  Martin Dwyer rides.

At Kempton, Angel Of The South will be looking for a revival in fortunes back on the all-weather when she lines up at 5.30pm for a ten-runner six furlong handicap under Jack Duern.  She’s been out of sorts lately but the return to an artificial surface should help.  At 33/1, she’s possibly overpriced.
