LOTHARIO, who ran a promising race on his debut three weeks ago at Windsor over 1m2f, runs in the 9.10 at the same track tonight and will appreciate the drop down to a mile.
The grey 4yo son of Dark Angel was sixth, beaten around 12 1/2 lengths last time but he showed plenty of promise. He’ll improve a lot for the run but again, he’s having to give weight to three-year-olds. However, given his ability, he’s a big price at 20/1 and has good each-way claims under Robert Winston. Previous winner Kaanoon, is a worthy favourite while Staplecroft, who finished in front of Lothario, has solid each-way claims.
Archdeacon makes his debut for the yard in th3 6.40, a 6f maiden with all 15 juveniles never having run before. The son of Archipenko, ridden by Jack Duern, is 16/1 and will benefit from the outing.
