DEAN runs three today, Villette in the 3.40 at Salisbury and Mimram and Sandy Heartbeat at Southwell (5.20 and 5.50 respectively) and the first two are of particular interest.
The dual-winner, Villette goes well fresh, so her 152- day absence is not a concern although the heavy going is an unknown. She’s the 9/1 outsider of the party in the six-runner fillies’ handicap over 1m4f but her 9/1 price is not as big as the 20/1 and 50/1 sps returned for her wins! Rob Hornby who has won on her takes the ride.
Mimram is 4/1 in the 7f handicap in the opener at Southwell, Robert Winston rides and although it is her first time on fibresand, she has been in good form and has an each way chance. The third runner, Sandy Heartbeat has it all to do at 25/1 in the 5f median auction stakes under Jack Duern.
