HIGGY’S HEARTBEAT is the stable’s only runner today when lining up for the 5.55 at Brighton and the 4yo son of Acclamation has been supported from double figures into 13/2.
He’s running off 51, the same mark as when fourth last time out at Chelmsford earlier in the month when beaten 3 3/4 lengths. However, he is seven pounds lower than when fourth, beaten just 2 1/4 lengths.
Jack Duern, who has ridden him in eight of his nine career starts is again on board today and the pair are drawn three which should help. The going is Good to Firm, the quickest he has encountered but the money for him would suggest he should cope and he has good each-way credentials. Top weight, Harry Beau looks one of the main threats.
