ELJADDAAF AND LUCYMAI ON THE BIG STAGE

Eljaddaaf 1

Eljaddaaf – in good form

ELJADDAAF and Lucymai are the stable’s two runners at Lingfield’s All-Weather Championships today and both have each-way chances.

Jack Duern rides the in-form Eljaddaaf in the 7f Apprentice Handicap (1.30pm) and the pair are drawn nine of fourteen which is not great but last time out over course and distance, he denied the widest draw of all to win with a great turn of foot.

The Shamardal gelding is a 6/1 shot and even though off his highest ever mark of 96, he can make his presence felt with some luck in running.  The dangers are headed by another in-form horse, Master Speaker and last year’s runner-up, War Glory.

Lucymai - each-way chance

Lucymai – each-way chance

Jack Duern also rides another in form horse, Lucymai, in the 7f Fillies’ and Mares’ Conditions Stakes (2.30pm) and she too has each-way claims from stall three.

Winner of three of her last four starts under Jack, the wide draw was against her last time out at Kempton but this progressive mare should run well.  She has to improve again in this level weights contest as she is not best in at the weights but at 11/1, the daughter of Multiplex is worth a second each-way look.  She may have most to fear from Diagnostic and Summer Icon.
