Nezar – drawn wide at Kempton
NEZAR is putting the Harper Lodge Farm show back on the road tonight at Kempton after the recent weather has put paid even to all-weather fixtures but he faces no easy task from his wide draw.
Drawn on the wide outside of the thirteen runners in the 7f handicap due off at 7.40pm, the 7you son of Mastercraftsman has not been running badly of late, including his last two races at Kempton but he’s not easy to win with as his record of four victories in 44 starts (with two of those in his very early days) suggests.
Jack Duern is however becoming very adept at getting horses form bad draws into contention, so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that he could strike tonight. However, market confidence is weak and he’s out to 22/1. It is however a very open contest with bookmakers going 5/1 the field.
He’s a not badly handicapped and is a big price so might be worth chancing each-way…but it is a chance! Principal dangers could be Envisaging and Fast Track.
