Dean ivory – two runners today
DEAN IVORY runs two today, Secret Bird on the flat at Chelmsford (4.25pm) and Treble Strike in a National Hunt flat race at Towcester (3.45pm) and the former looks to have the better chance of troubling the judge.
The 4yo Arcano gelding has to overcome a wide draw (14) in the apprentice race over 6f but if he can do that, he could go well off a mark of 50, having won off 58 last year on the turf at Windsor and having shown up fairly well when beaten three lengths at Wolverhampton last time out. At 13/2, he has an each-way shout under Lulu Standford.
Treble Strike is a 33/1 shot in the bumper at Towcester for jockey Leighton Aspell and he needs to improve on his second outing to get involved today.
