DEAN IVORY hit the £600,000 mark in prize money for the year today when Blaze Of Hearts finished third at Nottingham.
This is the fourth year running that Harper Lodge Farm has increased its total prize money haul, the measure by which the trainers’ championship is decided. Dean currently stands in 34th place in the Flat Trainers Table out of 575 trainers who have had runners this calendar year.
Last year’s record total was £502,000, so this is a great achievement to have surpassed that by some 20% and there are still just under ten weeks of the year to go.
All stables who amass significant prize money have one or two horses who contribute greatly to the total. For the last two years at Harper Lodge, Tropics has been the flag bearer with his two seconds in the Darley July Cup earning him over £100k on each occasion. This year, the star turn has been Librisa Breeze.
The 4yo grey son of Mount Nelson has won three races in six starts for the yard, including two valuable seven furlong handicaps at Ascot. Always in the prize money this year, he has earned over a £1/4 million and has improved 21lbs under Dean’s care.
Solario Racing is delighted to have horses in training with Dean Ivory including the exciting new prospect by Zebedee. To be syndicated in 1/12th shares, he is available for viewing. Please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 or email info@solarioracing.com to book a stable visit.
