Dean Ivory – saddles Librisa Breeze in Champions Sprint

LIBRISA BREEZE, a five times winner in just eleven starts, tries sprinting for the first time today as Dean Ivory saddles the son of Mount Nelson in the Group One Champions Sprint at Ascot (2pm).

Winner of two valuable 7f handicaps at Ascot this season, the Tony Bloom-owned 4yo won over 10f in his early days but he travels well and has loads of speed.  He showed a lightning turn of foot to win the Ascot Challenge Cup at the Berkshire track a fortnight ago.

Today’s 6f trip will be new territory and he has to improve again to trouble the likes of Quiet Reflection, Shalaa, Twilight Son and The Tin Man but having improved 21lbs since joining Dean Ivory this season, it is not inconceivable that his upward curve will continue.

Robert Winston, who know him very well, takes the ride and the Harper Lodge Farm handler believes he has a “live each-way chance.”

The yard’s Tropics was second in the race two years ago and Solario Racing wishes connections well in their bid to go one better.
