Red Ruffian – runs at Kempton
RED RUFFIAN is Dean’s only runner today as the 3yo bids to defy a 200-day absence when lining up for the 6.10 at Kempton, a 12-runner mile handicap.
He’s on a mark of 60, his lowest so far and stable apprentice Jack Duern claims a valuable three pounds. However, the son of Tamayuz, a 16/1 shot, is almost sure to benefit from his first run since March and the favourite, Ice Alert looks the proverbial “good thing.”
Red Ruffian is partly owned by Gwen Thomas, who also has Kerrera (25/1) making her debut at Kempton for trainer Paul Webber in a mile and a half maiden, due off at 8.10. We wish Gwen well with both horses.
