TWIN SAILS is one of three Dean Ivory runners today and he starts proceedings in the 5.25 at Goodwood, a competitive 7f handicap.
The dual winning juvenile had some good form last year, including a close fourth in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood to subsequent Guineas winner, Galileo Gold.
Having bounced back to from last time out when just touched off at York over 7f, he could go close today off a mark of 95. Dane O’Neill rides and at 7/1, he has a good each-way chance.
At Leicester, Robert Winston is aboard two for the stable. The first is Bobby Vee, who has an each-way squeak at 12/1 in the median auction maiden fillies’ stakes over 6f, due off at 6.15. She needs to improve to win but should run well. Robert has a favourite’s chance on Soaring Spirits in the 8.20, a 6f handicap and the son of Tamayuz is chasing a hat-trick. Still well handicapped, he should go very close.
