Dean Ivory – back on the winning trail
DEAN IVORY had a welcome July winner yesterday courtesy of Spinning Rose, who showed real guts and determination to win by a head at Lingfield.
The combination of hood and first time blinkers worked well and the daughter of Pivotal, the 5/1 joint favourite was always in contention under Robert Winston and the chestnut filly held on nicely to record her first win.
On Tuesday, Dean broke the £300,000 prize money barrier and while the horses were running well and getting placed, the yard was still awaiting its first July winner.
Spinning Rose must be an avid reader of the Solario Racing web site because she read the script perfectly!
