Lancelot Du Lac – runs at Sandown
LANCELOT DU LAC is one of 14 runners in the Group 3 Coral Charge at Sandown today (2.35pm) and despite not having won on the turf since 2013, he may give supporters a run for their money at 14/1.
The Dean Ivory-trained Shamardal gelding has good form on the all-weather and was in fine form over the winter. While he has never won at Group or Listed level, there has always been the suspicion that he may be capable of reaching those heights and today may be the day.
He is drawn well in six, has winning form with give underfoot and has Robert Winston aboard. At 14/1, he has an each-way chance in a very competitive race.
