Charles Eddery – rides Eljaddaaf at Kempton

CHARLES EDDERY, son of former jockey Paul Eddery, takes the ride on Eljaddaaf for Dean Ivory in the apprentice handicap at Kempton this evening.

Eleven go to post in the 6f contest and the 5yo Shamardal gelding likes the polytrack having won three times there this year, including twice over course and distance.

Charles Eddery takes a useful three pounds off and at 9/2 he has an each-way chance although drawn 10 is not ideal.  It does look a tricky contest to call and dangers include Picket Line and Believe It.

Later on, Dean also runs Seaview in the 5f Novice Auction Stakes at Bath (8.30pm).  The Harbour Watch filly is making her debut and on soft ground, so it would take a brave one to wade in at 16/1.  Renato Souza takes the ride and hot favourite, Kody Ridge looks the one to beat.
