King’s Concerto close home
KING’S CONCERTO gave his owners in Solario Racing (Radlett) plenty to cheer about at Brighton yesterday when second over a mile and a half.
The 3yo son of Thewayyouare had shown little form to date on turf but his previous efforts had been over much shorter trips. He certainly appreciated going over further and the 12/1 shot also seemed to benefit from a first time hood.

Raul Da Silva always had him handy but with some cover and the pair hit the front two from home. He is still a baby according to his jockey and drifted right and then left towards the running rail. Headed over a furlong out, he was never going to win but was six lengths clear of the third. This was a much improved effort on his previous turf runs and hopefully he will pick up a similar race soon.
