SUN SHINES ON CROPREDY LAWN OWNERS’ DAY

Owners at the paradePAUL WEBBER and the team at Cropredy Lawn hosted the annual Owners’ Day yesterday and summer returned, at least for a day!

While the forecast was dry, nobody expected temperatures of around 70 degrees.   Over a hundred invited Owners and friends turned up for a Parade of around 40 horses, which included stable stars, Cantlow, Firm Order and Australia Day as well as Solario Racing’s Red Cossack.

The horses were paraded in groups of six and Paul talked about each horse individually including forthcoming plans.  Drinks and canapés were served during the parade, after which owners were able to see some action in the loose schooling lane and a horse swimming in the equine pool.

More drinks were served in the garden before a wonderful three-course sit down lunch in the marquee.  Syndicate owners were grouped together and Cropredy Lawn Racing was well represented including new owners who had signed up in the last month.

Owners at lunchSugar Train and Mr Banks received a good mention from Paul during the Parade, notably that there are just five shares available!
