YIMOU WEAK IN MARKET BUT INTERESTING IN HANDICAP

Robert Winston

Robert Winston – two rides for the yard at Kempton

YIMOU is one of two stable runners tonight at Kempton and the 4yo son of Kodiac, although weak in the betting at 16/1, looks interesting off a mark of 72 on his handicap debut in the 5.45.

He showed up well in two of three novice/maiden runs and could well be competitive off today’s opening handicap mark in tonight’s 14-runner 7f handicap.  The eleven draw is not great but hopefully Robert Winston can overcome that.  At 16/1, he looks worth a second glance each-way.

At four times that price, Trust Me lines up for the second division of the 7f novice at 6.45pm.  Having showed ability over a mile on his debut when pulling too hard, he did not seem to appreciate the drop back to 6f on his second outing.  Today’s trip should suit better and he could outrun his price but he’ll be doing well to beat odds on favourite, Godolphin’s Land Of Legends.
