WOTADOLL, winner of a Brighton sprint last week, looks to defy a 6lb penalty today at Nottingham (5.15pm) and is 1lb well in as she has gone up 7lbs in the handicap.
She failed to settle eight days ago but still won, so there could be more improvement to come and at 9/2 she looks a very solid 9/2 each-way shot under Robert Winston. Last week’s victory was over 5f on Good to Soft and today she encounters the same going over the same trip. Hopefully, she will not be far away.
At Lingfield, Dean runs Soaring Spirits in the 4.30 and I’m Running Late in the 5.35. The former, the mount of Franny Norton, is well handicapped and if finding his best form, the eight- times winner could run well at 14/1. The latter is a 501/ shot in a 1m4f handicap and has been out of sorts since winning over 1m2f back in May. That was at Lingfield on the all-weather and a return to the trick might help but at 50/1, he really needs to bounce back under Liam Keniry.
