Kadrizzi – back on the all-weather at Kempton

KADRIZZI is back on the all-weather tonight at Chelmsford in a 12-runner 6f handicap, due off at 7pm and the well-handicapped son of Hurricane Cat could make his presence felt.

Rated 92 tonight, he won off 100 at Chelmsford over 5f early last year.  Having been running over turf on his last four outings, when he has not really shown a great deal, he has slipped down the weights and the application of a first-time tongue tie together with a visor could bring about some improvement.

He is not well drawn in 10 but has the assistance of Robert Winston and with some luck in running, looks each-way material at 101/.   Last time out Kempton winner,  Maakaasib looks a danger from his low draw in three.

Dean also runs Badenscoth at Chelsmford, half an hour later at 7.30pm in a mile handicap.  This improving 3yo Foxwedge gelding has been doing well since running in a hood but it is left off today.  Well drawn in four, the horse is weak in the market at 16/1 under stable apprentice Jack Duern, for whom this is a first ride back from injury after over seven weeks off.
