TRICKY JACK THE LAIRD TRIES AGAIN OVER SEVEN

Dean Ivory - runs Jack The Laird at Kempton

Dean Ivory – runs Jack The Laird at Kempton

JACK THE LAIRD has ability but is not an easy horse to win with as one victory in 21 starts testifies but he has another go over 7f when one of 14 runners for Dean in the 9.15 at Kempton tonight.

The 4yo Acclamation gelding is not an easy ride as he has a tendency to stop when in front and needs dropping his head in front right on the line.  Apprentice, Jack Duern, who rides him tonight knows him well and indeed was aboard when the pair were beaten just 1 3/4 lengths last time out at Chelmsford.

The horse is quite consistent and so is again running off a mark of 60 tonight, for the sixth time in a row.  Drawn well in four, Jack and Jack have each-way claims at 9/1 but everything needs to fall right for them.  Top-weight and favourite, Almanack looks a big threat.
