Harper Lodge Farm
Group winner Dean Ivory has been training horses on the flat at Harper Lodge Farm Stables, Radlett near St Albans, Hertfordshire since 2002 when he took over from his father, Ken Ivory.
The 115-acre private training establishment is close by the M25 and M1, so ideally situated for getting to local racecourses such as Windsor, Ascot, Sandown and Kempton but also tracks further afield.
There is stabling for 60 horses and superb facilities for training the modern thoroughbred. The gallop is a mile all-weather polytrack and horses can work in either direction, left or right handed. Other training facilities include a railed furlong round all-weather trotting ring, a menage, an undercover horse walker and plenty of turn-out paddocks with shelter. One of the latest additions is an equine spa which is great for cooling down the horses’ legs, particularly after racing.
This is Dean’s 16th season and he has trained 413 winners. 2017 has been a record season for the fifth year running with over £887,000 in prize money won to date.
