DEAN runs Tangramm and Vilette in the same race at Wolverhampton today, a 1m4 handicap, due off at 2.50pm and both are big outsiders.
The former, 2015/16 all-weather champion is a course and distance winner and is on a pound lower than a winning mark but his recent form has not been great. He’s not drawn great either (nine of twelve) but if he bounced back to form, he’d have a squeak each-way at 16/1 under Charles Bishop.
Villette, dual winner this year, won over this trip on her debut at Kempton and is drawn better on the insider in one. The filly may be a shade high in the weights but having won at 20/1 and 50/1, maybe today’s 33/1 shouldn’t be overlooked. She’s lightly raced and couldn’t be totally dismissed.
There is no market confidence behind either Harper Lodge Farm runner and the more likely winner would be top-weights Island Brave and Star Story.
