IT’s rather a case of “after the Lord Mayor’s Show” today as Dean and the team send two to Windsor for a damp afternoon meeting, two days after the yard’s biggest win with Librisa Breeze at Ascot.
Harlequin Striker aims to follow up his last time out win at Nottingham when lining up for the 3.10 at Windsor, a mile handicap. He’s still well handicapped, a pound lower than for his course and distance win last year which was on soft ground as he’ll encounter today.
While one wouldn’t guarantee he’ll follow up, the 5yo Bahamian Bounty gelding has a lot going for him including Robert Winston on board and after Saturday’s big win, Robert will surely be on top of his game in terms of confidence.
Earlier on the card at 2.10pm, Tangramm, winner of seven on the all-weather, makes his turf debut, also under Winston. While, he too is well handicapped on his all-weather form, confidence in the market is weak and he’s a 40/1 shot.
