Stake Acclaim – could do with rain at Doncaster
STAKE ACCLAIM makes a quick reappearance after his Windsor 3rd on Monday when turning out for the 5f handicap at Doncaster today at 4.30 but he could really do with some rain to show his best.
The son of Acclamation was expected to run a big race last time out and indeed he ran well but the good to firm going was probably his undoing and the same may be true today.
He is only a pound higher than when winning at Windsor last year and he has course form but that was when winning on soft going. At 7/1/ he’s worth chancing each way but connections including Robert Winston would dearly love to see some rain between now and 4.30!
