STABLE APPRENTICES BOTH AT LEICESTER

Nezar - bidding for back-to-back wins

Nezar – bidding for back-to-back wins

BOTH of Dean’s seven pound claimers are riding at Leicester today for the yard with Sophie Ralston on Nezar at 5pm and Luke Bacon aboard Classic Star an hour later at 6pm.

Nezar bids for back-to-back wins following success last time out at Wolverhampton when Sophie was in the saddle.  The concern with him is that he hasn’t won on the grass since 2016 and he’s not the most consistent of animals.  Nevertheless, Sophie clearly clicked with him last time out and at 12/1, he might be worth chancing each-way in the 7f handicap.

Classic Star has an absence of 152 days to overcome in another 7f handicap but the Sea The Moon gelding has come in for significant support and he  is each-way material at 10/1.

Both horse will have to cope with softening ground but if they do, they could give their apprentices good rides.  Good luck to Sophie and Luke!
