SPRING ROMANCE DEBUTS BUT KEEP AN EYE ON LUCYMAI

Spring Romance - makes debut at Windsor

Spring Romance – makes debut at Windsor

Today, Spring Romance aka “Neville”, makes his debut for Solario Racing (Berkhamsted) at Windsor in the 5.50, a 5f novice and Adam Kirby rides.    Weak in the betting at 25/1, he has been working nicely at home but  is up against three horses with previous experience and half decent form,  the best of which may be The Love Doctor, second in the Brocklesby before a fourth at Newmarket.

Dean has two others at Windsor, Bobby Vee in the 6.20, a six furlong handicap and Lifeboat Lad in the  6.50, a mile maiden.  They have Dane O’Neil and Steve Drowne in the saddle respectively but their current 50/1 and 80/1 prices, probably reflect their chances today.

At Chelmsford, the stable sends out two, first of which is another 2yo debutante, Mimram, in a six-runner 5f novice at 5.40pm.  Jack Duern rides the daughter of Kheyley, a 40/1 shot, who will have easier opportunities. later in the season.

The stable’s best chance of a winner maybe Lucymai in the 8.10, a 7f handicap and Robert Winston travels down from the afternoon meeting at Southwell for the ride.  The filly should appreciate the drop to 7f and having started to come down the weights, she is interesting each-way at 11/2.
