SPIRITS HAS FORM TO GO CLOSE

Soaring Spirits

Soaring Spirits

SOARING SPIRITS, one of two stable runners today, has recent good form to go close in the 4.15 at Lingfield today, a 7f handicap.

He was collared at the death on his penultimate start when beaten a nose.  Today’s rider, Jack Osborn, rode him last time out and the pair were fourth, beaten, 4 3/4 lengths.  That was in an apprentice handicap and today the rider can claim seven pounds.  If running to the form of two runs ago, he shouldn’t be too far away and has each-way credentials at 5/1.  Loccommotion and Rising Sunshine are both threats.

Nezar is the other runner today, when one of eight lining up for the 7f handicap at Kempton.  Drawn well in two, the 7yo son of Mastercraftsman is handicapped to run well, although he was below par last time out and is weak in the market at 12/1.  He has an each-way squeak but will be doing well to beat hot favourite, King Of Nepal.
