Spring Romance winning at Nottingham, his fifth success

Spring Romance winning at Nottingham, his fifth success

SOLARIO RACING is today celebrating nine years since it was formally founded back in 2010 and the company is in the best shape it has ever been, both in terms of quality of horses under its umbrella and the number of new owners coming on board.

A lot has happened during those nine years including rebranding and the moving of the horses to Dean Ivory’s Harper Lodge Farm Stables in 2013.  In the early days, as is often the case with new companies in any industry, life was as they say, “challenging”.  The horses were moderate and it took until 2015 to register Solario Racing’s first win, courtesy of Red Cossack, owned by Solario Racing (Banbury) and trained by Paul Webber.

After the success of Red Cossack at Kempton, it was a relatively quiet time for a couple of years but 2018 was a major turning point with Spring Romance landing four wins out of seven races and climbing two stone in the handicap while Don’t Look Down was in the prize money in all four starts, including an agonising 3rd, beaten two noses, on his second outing.

This year has seen three wins from three individual runners including Spring Romance landing another win, at 25/1 and Classic Charm, who won and was second and third in five runs.  Perhaps the most exciting moment in Solario Racing’s nine years was Dancinginthewoods winning at Newmarket on his debut in May at 50/1, coming from virtually last to first.  His form is fantastic including finishing fourth, beaten 8 1/4 lengths at Epsom behind Pinatubo, who is now hot favourite for next year’s 2000 Guineas and the second top-rated juvenile ever in Britain.
