Royal Ascot Grandstand (orig)ROYAL ASCOT, the greatest flat meeting in the world, will start next Tuesday 16 June as scheduled, despite the pandemic.

While the calendar scheduling of the prestigious royal meeting hasn’t changed, it will certainly lack all pomp and circumstance.  No Her Majesty or royal carriages, no fanfare, no Winner’s Enclosure ceremonies and no alcohol-imbued singing around the Bandstand at the end of racing.  In fact, no spectators.

But…Solario Racing is not going to let all that get in the way of celebrating a veritable feast of top quality racing over five days, with six extra races to boot!

We are hosting a “Royal Ascot At Home” on the opening day (Tuesday 16 June) for Solario Racing owners and all racing enthusiasts who want to indulge in some much-needed escapism during these most surreal of times.

So what are we doing to whet your Royal Ascot appetite…?

Carravagio in The Winners' EnclosureThere will be a Solario Racing tipster competition and form guide, digital racecards, an hour Zoom Royal Ascot preview including a jockey interview or two and a Best Hat competition, judged by award-winning milliner, Mary Spiteri.  We’re also raising money for a very important local homeless charity, DENS.

You then watch Royal Ascot live on ITV.  Their coverage of the Guineas week end with Ed Chamberlin, Francesca Cumani and Jason Weaver et al was excellent.  Hopefully, you’ve backed a few winners and then we get together again on Zoom after racing to discover who’s won the Solario Racing tipster competition with a “Winner Takes All” pot.

We are encouraging all “racegoers” to dress up…okay, not necessarily top hat and tails but ladies, do wear a hat for the “Best Dressed Hat” Competition.

The cost?  Only £28 per person, including tipster competition and charitable donation.

To book, please call Solario Racing on 01442 877 597 or email info@solarioracing.com.
