NEZAR runs in a very competitive 23-runner 6f sprint at Ascot today (5.10pm) but he is one of the market leaders as he bids to follow up his last race success at Wolverhampton.
Formerly rated in the mid-90s when with Willie Haggas, the 6yo son of Mastercraftsman has been to a few trainers since. He has had four runs for Dean including a second and a win and the Master of Harper Lodge is a dab hand at revitalising these types.
Today, he runs off a mark of 78 and if on an upward curve, he looks interesting each-way at around 7/1. Robert Winston rides.
The same jockey is aboard Dean’s other runner today, Kadrizzi, who is one of 26 runners in the fiendishly difficult Victoria Cup over 7f at 4pm. A course winner over 6f, he has form over seven and has an each-way chance at 16/1, although I’d be concerned about the draw in 3.
Dangers include Remarkable, Fastnet Tempest, Hors De Combat….and a few others!
