LUCYMAI bids to complete the hat trick when lining up with stablemate Eljaddaaf and ten others at Kempton tonight in the 5.40, a 7f handicap.
The improving 4yo filly has won her last two at Chelmsford and has gone up ten pounds and six pounds for her easy victories. She may not have stopped improving yet and although not well drawn in twelve, she gets on well with Jack Duern and the pair have an each-way chance at 8/1.
Eljaddaaf ran well over six furlongs at Kempton last time out, but has won over seven and is well berthed in five. He needs to improve again to win but is not handicapped out of it at 9/1. The hot favourite, Makarim is a danger to all.
Dean also runs two in the same race an hour later at 6.40 when Angel Of The South and Hello Girl are 12/1 and 40/1 shots in the five-runner six furlongs Conditions Stakes which is a qualifier for the All-Weather Championships. On ratings they have no chance with market leaders Danzan and Corinthia Knight but there has been strong support for Angel Of The South, from whom we may not yet have seen the best. She needs to find the best part of two stone to trouble the market leaders.
