LIBRISA BREEZE has been well supported for the Group 2 Lennox Stakes on the opening day of Glorious Goodwood next Tuesday.
Dean Ivory’s top class 5yo son of Mount Nelson, winner of two major Ascot 7f handicaps last summer, has been backed from an opening 6/1 into 4/1 across the board. The grey has only had one outing this year when a fast-finishing fourth, just 2 1/4 lengths behind The Tin Man in the Group One Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot over 6f.
Tony Bloom’s star was also second in the Royal Hunt Cup over a mile last year but seven furlongs is ideal and in good form at home, he’s entitled to be one of the market leaders. Robert Winston worked him at Harper Lodge Farm earlier this week and was pleased with the work out.
Librisa Breeze is an intended runner at Goodwood but he is also entered in the Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest over 6.5 furlongs at Deauville on 6 August.
