DEAN saddles three at Chelmsford today, Dors Law (5.50pm) Eljaddaaf ( 7.30pm ) and Lucymai(8.30pm) and all three look to have less than easy tasks on their plate.
The first is one of 13 runners in the 1m2f Apprentice Handicap and the 4yo Lawman filly, who has been disappointing in her last two starts, needs to improve under Lulu Standford to take a hand at 12/1. Top weight, Celtic Artisan looks sure to make it back-to-back wins.
Eljaddaaf, has gone up 12lbs for a facile 4l victory last time out at Kempton and his mark of 89 is a career high. The 5/1 shot, weak in the market, will be doing well to defy his new mark in a Class 3 6f handicap but having won six times on the all-weather, he could still run well under Robert Winston.
The same jockey is aboard Lucymai in the finale, a mile handicap and again the Ivory runner has all it all to do at 16/1. Nevertheless, she ran better last time out than in her previous two outings and could run into a place but one could not be confident. Top weight, Captain Courageous should go well.
