BLAZE OF HEARTS won his second race of the season this afternoon at Yarmouth, scene of his first victory, which brought up win number 30 for Dean Ivory.
The 4yo son of Canford Cliffs was running over a mile, a furlong short of his August success and he was given a clever ride by John Egan. Making all up the middle of the track, he was always in contention and despite hanging left, the 8/1 shot stayed on strongly at the finish to win by a length and a quarter from the favourite, Monaadhil.
John Egan, who does not get many rides for Dean Ivory said, “Blaze Of Hearts wanted it. Dean told me how to ride him and it was the perfect way”.
This was the fourth win from the last seven runners and gives Dean a chance of beating last year’s total of 34 wins.
