“T-Red” walking off the box at Harper Lodge Farm this morning

HARPER LODGE FARM today welcomed its latest recruit to the training ranks, Solario Racing’s very exciting 2yo chestnut colt by Tamayuz.

Known as “T-Red” by the staff at nearby Childwickbury Stud where he has been relaxing and chilling out since Tattersall’s October Yearling Sales, he was driven by Stud Manager, Max Weston to Dean Ivory’s stables this morning.

The colt has been easy to handle at the stud, despite being a colt with plenty of substance and size and he has always seemed a contented and relaxed individual.  Those traits were in evidence today when he walked off the horsebox at his new home and into his new stable.  He didn’t turn a hair and soon settled in.

The plan is for the staff at Harper Lodge Farm to finish the breaking in process and Dean thought that by the end of next week, he’ll be sat on and ridden away.  Today, the Group One-winning trainer took time out to have a photo taken with the latest acquisition to the yard.

Solario Racing was delighted to secure this well-bred son of established stallion Tamayuz who has sired over 500 winners with his progeny winning over £10.25 million in prize money.  Tamayuz was a dual Group One winner and a top class miler at three and his sire was the four-times Group One winner, Nayef, whose illustrious family included the outstanding broodmare, Urban Sea, dam of Galileo and Sea The Stars.

The dam, Pin Cushion (by Pivotal)  was a winner at three and has produced three winners, including Lethal Lunch who was rated 98.

The colt vetted superby at the sales with Newmarket Equine Hospital’s vet, David Dugdale, commenting: “Strong individual with a good size and plenty of substance.  Good conformation.  Vets well (5/5).”

The horse is being syndicated in 1/12th shares for two seasons and prices include purchase and all-inclusive training fees.  For more information, please call Simon Double on 01442 877 597 or email info@solarioracing.com.
