HARLEQUIN WHIPS UP A STORM AT CHELMSFORD

Harlequin Storm – won on handicap debut

HARLEQUIN STORM won on his handicap debut tonight at Chelmsford, running out the winner of a 6f handicap by two lengths from Bahamian Paradise.

Smartly away, the 3yo grey son of Clodovil was always handy and in front from the half-way stage, he always looked in command under Robert Winston, despite wandering around.

The 6/1 shot was having just his fifth ever race and there should be more to come, despite an inevitable hike in the weights next week from the handicapper.

This was Dean Ivory’s 27th win of the year and puts him seven behind last year’s total with over three months still to go.
