HARLEQUIN STORM MAKES HANDICAP DEBUT

Harlequin Storm

Harlequin Storm – runs at Chelmsford

runs four today: Wotamadam and Angel Of The South in the 2.30 at Yarmouth, Harlequin Storm in the 6.45 at Chelmsford and two hours later, Dor’s Law in the 8.45 and the stable’s best chance of  a winner may rest with Harlequin Storm.

With just four runs to his name, the 3yo son of Clodovil tackles handicap company for the first time and with the return to 6f from 5 likely to suit, he has an each-way chance under Robert Winston at 8/1 but improvement is needed.

Robert is also aboard Dor’s Law but the 16/1 shot will probably struggle to reverse placings with Avocet who was third when they both met three weeks ago.

At Yarmouth, Angel Of The South and Wotamadam are 20/1 and 150 respectively in a 6f fillies’ novice.  “Angel”, the mount of Robert Winston is overpriced at 20/1 but she is vulnerable to more lightly raced types or debutantes such as William Haggas’ newcomer Beauty Filly.  On early season form, the Harper Lodge filly has an each-way squeak.
