Lordsbridge Boy – run at Windsor

THE YARD sends out four runners today at Windsor and with ground conditions now Good To Soft, it’s a guessing game how any of them will cope with it, as they’ve little experience between them of such ground.. Lordsbridge Boy in the 4.25, drops down to 5f and at around 4/1, he would probably have the best chance of possibly troubling the judge tonight under George Downing.

Fantastic Flyer has won seven out of 21 races but all on the all-weather and her only three runs on turf did not see her placed.  The mount of Joey Haynes is a huge market drifter, out to 22/1.  She may well handle conditions but it’s a huge guessing game.

Duke Of Redmond is another big price, a 16/1 shot, in a 16-runner mile handicap at 7pm.  He was second last time out on the all-weather over a mile at 50/1 and today is his first run on grass.  George Downing rode him last time out and if he handled the ground, he might just have an each-way squeak.

Finally, Archdeacon runs in the 8.30, a 1 mile 3 1/2 furlong handicap and again George is in the plate.  The horse has lost his way during the last year, has his first run on the turf and is a 50/1 shot.
