BRIAN THE SNAIL, owned by Godolphin and trained by Richard Fahey is rated 102 after he made it three out of three to complete the hat-trick at Pontefract last week in a 0-95 6f handicap.
Two questions spring to mind. Firstly, how did Godolphin come by a horse called Brian The Snail? Secondly, why is Solario Racing concerning itself with a colt trained some 200 miles from Harper Lodge Farm?
Brian The Snail was originally owned by his trainer and was then bought by Godolphin after his first two wins.
In answer to the second question, the clue is in the name. The 3yo colt is by Zebedee. What is even more interesting is that he is out of a Shamardal mare. This breeding is very similar to Solario Racing’s Spring To Life, who is by Zebedee out of a Shamardal mare! In addition however, the Solario Racing colt is out of a winning dam.
Dean Ivory is very excited about the Solario Racing juvenile whose work has been eye-catching to say the least. He is due to make his debut next month.
