SOLARIO RACING’S new addition, a lovely yearling colt by Garswood out of Pachanga has settled in well at Harper Lodge Farm.
Purchased at Tattersalls last Thursday from the October Yearling Sale Book Three, he was transported from Newmarket to Radlett last Friday morning. The bay colt is currently stabled next to a previous Solario Racing winner, Red Cossack, who is now owned by Solario Racing owner, Mrs Gwen Thomas. The colt is currently on the horse walker each day but he will soon be broken in at the yard and ridden away.
An April foal, the good-looking bay is by Garswood, who was trained by Richard Fahey to win black type races at two, three and four years of age from five to seven furlongs. He won a five furlong Listed race at Ayr as a juvenile and at three, won the Listed European Free Handicap at Newmarket and the Group Two Lennox Stakes at Goodwood, both races over 7f. His final race and victory was the Maurice de Gheest, a Group One over 6 1/2 furlongs at Deauville as a four-year-old.
The dam, Pachanga was placed once as a 3yo from one run but the daughter of Inchinor has produced five winners from seven runners including black type winner, Pachinaaj who won twice as a two-year-old. Ebony Clarets also won at two, while the dam’s five winners won 14 races between them. Pachanga is a half-sister to black type winner, Gai Bulga who produced Chivalry, trained by Sir Mark Prescott to win the Cambridgeshire.
A good walker and a beautifully clear winded colt, he is being syndicated for two seasons in 1/2th shares. He has the pedigree to race at two but has the physical scope to improve at three. To arrange a private viewing, please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 or email email@example.com.
