DEAN IVORY runs two today, Firmdecisions in the 4pm at Lingfield and Jack The Laird in the 6.45 at Wolverhampton and the former looks the more solid each-way option.
Robert Winston is aboard the first runner, the 7yo son of Captain Rio who is still on a winning mark but is drawn on the wide outside in the 7f handicap. He will be doing well to win but is honest and consistent and does have an each-way squeak at 10/1. However, it’s an open contest where the go 5/1 the field.
At least Jack The Laird is not badly drawn in the 5f sprint at Wolves (4 of 9) but he is not easy to win with and apprentice Jack Duern will need to be at his best to the 4yo Acclamation gelding past the line in first place. He’s risky but does have ability at 8/1 although Dandelion and It Must Be Faith are more solid alternatives.
