DEAN IVORY’S progressive Eljaddaaf is expected to defy a 6lb penalty today at Wolverhampton (7.15pm) and record his seventh win in 17 starts.
He went up 12lbs for his last win and so his theoretically 6lbs well in. Despite being drawn 10, he could be the proverbial “good thing” at 6/4 under Robert Winston.
Earlier in the day, Solario Racing’s Roman Legion has to defy a 191 day absence in the opener at Lingfield. This is his first time in handicap company off a mark of 62 and while the mile trip will suit him, he is sure to come on for the run. The 10/1 is freely available but of the two runners today, Eljaddaaf looks the safer option.
Good luck to Solario Racing (Verulamium)!
