Cappananty Con – runs at Wolverhampton

CAPPANANTY CON is one of two Dean Ivory runners in the four o’clock at Wolverhampton today and with Robert Winston aboard, he looks the pick of the twol

Always well regarded at home, he won over 6f at Dunstall Park in January and has run well twice since at LIngfield and Chelmsford.  Today he is back over his winning course and distance and drawn five of eight, should go close at around 9/4.

Dean’s other runner Bobby Vee may be 20/1 but has Lulu Stanford claiming five pounds and would not be without a squeak.

Harper Lodge Farm sends out two other runners today, both at Chelmsford and both ridden by stable apprentice, Jack Duern.  Jack The Laird tries 7f again for the first time in a year in the 7.50 and is an 8/1 shot.  He has run some good races over five and six furlongs and on the face of it does not look to be crying out for seven furlongs.

At 8.50pm, Soaring Spirits drops back in trip and is trying 5f for the first time.  Running without the usual headgear, he is hard to fancy at 14/1.
