CAPPANANTY CON ON RETRIEVAL MISSION

Cappananty Con - drawn well at Chelmsford

Cappananty Con – drawn well at Chelmsford

CAPPANANTY CON bids to go one better than when second at Lingfield a week ago, when he contests the 6f handicap at Chelmsford today, due off at 3.30pm.

Arguably an unlucky loser, the fast-finishing son of Zebedee today races off the same mark but has been raised a pound by the handicapper for future races, so he’s technically a pound well in.  Drawn well  (two of seven), the 7/2 shot should again go very close under Robert Winston in a competitive race in which three of the field are last time out winners.

Earlier at Chelmsford in the 2.20, Dean runs Nicky Baby in a 3yo 7f handicap.  Drawn one of eleven, the Dark Angel gelding has run well over 7f the last twice and having been dropped to 61, he shouldn’t be far away under Robert Winston and is an each-way price at 11/1.
