ARTSCAPE is one of two stable runners today at Windsor and is possibly the most interesting of the trio.
He is one of nine going to post in the 2.35 at the Berkshire course, a 6f handicap. Having won a maiden at Kempton on just his second ever start, he was a little disappointing back over course and distance in a handicap. However, this is his first time on turf, jockey Jack Duern takes a handy three pounds off and the horse was dropped 2lbs by the handicapper for his last effort.
There has been support for Artscape but he still makes appeal at 7/1 in quite a tricky contest in which they currently go 11/2 the field.
At 3.10pm, Higgy’s Heartbeat is a 66/1 chance in an extended mile maiden, again for Jack Duern. He will have better opportunities than today in which John Gosden’s Damocles, who was fourth in the Wood Ditton, is the odds-on favourite.
