ARTSCAPE and GOLDSLINGER are both running in the lucky last at Newmarket and Chepstow respectively and both have each-way chances in a bid to keep the stable rolling.
The former is one of eight runners in the 7f handicap at 8.40pm. He has to stay the extra furlong in this step up to 7f, having won both races this year over six. If he does, this unexposed 5yo son of Iffraaj has a good each-way chance at 7/1 of getting back on the winning trail under Adam Kirby. Yellowhammer and Pastime are the obvious dangers.
Jack Duern, himself on a roll after Badenscoth’s win earlier in the week, travels in the horsebox across the Severn Bridge for one ride as twilight falls over Chepstow.
Goldslinger may have been disappointing this season, particularly last time out but he’s well handicapped, has won twice at the course, including once over tonight’s 1m4f and he should relish the soft conditions.
This front runner might just catch them all at it and although there are six non-runners, Goldslinger could reward each-way backers at around 5/1. Sark is a danger.
