WOTADOLL’S win at Brighton yesterday took Dean Ivory past the £1/2 million mark for the season.
The 3yo daughter of Harbour Watch, ridden by Robert Winston, was held up early on but came through with a powerful run inside the final furlong and won readily by four lengths from the favourite, Flowing Clarets.
Well supported into 9/2 third favourite, the filly, bred and owned by David Meade, appreciated the drop back to 5f on soft ground although her earlier win at Yarmouth back in July was over 6f on Good to Firm. Running off a mark of 56, she is bound to go up at least half a stone but there could be more to come from this likeable filly.
This is the third year running Harper Lodge Farm has passed the £1/2 million barrier and is Dean’s second best ever season since he took out a licence in 2002.
